Modern Belle

   

    In philosophy, it's wise to demystify diction to more clearly convey ideas in the quest for truth. Ironically though, poetry, more so than philosophy, can encapsulate a "truth" of the emotional component of an experience. Poetic expression can provide this "truth" by eliciting and simulating the emotional experience.
     So when I write for poetry, I submit to the failings of language... for a mortal moment, I lie with ambiguity, hoping to prevail upon the caprice of raw emotion.
     When I think of the same experience philosophically, I can then methodologically and contextually re-frame the event to investigate truths outside the emotional experience.
